What’s New in the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport?

Land Rover SUV lovers can be a fickle bunch; we know more than most what it's like to be a Land Rover SUV fan here at Land Rover Orlando. However, despite our dedication to the brand and what it means to be an off-road vehicle, we have a lot of love for the 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport.

The Land Rover Discovery Sport may be a smaller vehicle, but it packs a big SUV punch, and that has never been more evident than in the 2020 model. That's why we're highlighting some of the best features of the newest model.

Let's start with what's new for the 2020 Land Rover Discovery. There's a new mild hybrid 48-volt engine in select trim levels, more in-car technology and smartphone integration than ever, a compact third-row, and more.

Though it sits on the smaller size, which is enticing to many in the Orlando, FL area, the Land Rover Discovery Sport doesn't lack for anything while on or off the road. That's in part thanks to the new large touchscreen infotainment system and Terrain Response 2 traction control system. While some may think this Land Rover SUV isn't built to go off-road, the automaker disagrees. That's why they included the ClearSight Ground View system which uses a camera in the front to display the terrain in front of you onto the infotainment screen.

When it comes to power, you've got two options. The first is a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 246 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, while the other is a turbocharged four-cylinder mated to a 48-volt mild hybrid engine that puts out 296 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.

Overall, everything in the Land Rover Discovery seems to be updated for the 2020 model year. Here at your Orlando Land Rover dealership, we'll keep you updated on more features as we get closer to a release date.
