        My daughter purchased her first car this past Saturday at the Land Rover Orlando dealership.  After extensive car shopping and on-line research, she selected a pre-owned dodge vehicle from this location.  Generally speaking, I dislike the car-buying process.  Our experience with Land Rover Orlando, however, was totally different from what seems to be the norm.

        I wish to compliment the dealership on providing first class service.  We live two hours from Orlando, so we worked extensively via phone/e-mail with Erik Ahlberg.  He provided prompt, honest, and in-depth responses to all of our many questions.  Out of the many salesmen we spoke with that week, he was one of the few to provide a detailed, out-the-door cost estimate (right down to the battery fee) and a copy of the Car Fax report.  He also worked with us extensively on favorable financing arrangements.

        We scheduled an appointment for Saturday to test drive and purchase the vehicle if everything was okay.  While Erik checked on us constantly throughout the morning, we worked primarily with delivery specialist Robert Kiel.  Robert gave us the "land rover treatment" even though we were purchasing a much more economical pre-owned vehicle.  We received the same courtesy, respect, time and enthusiasm as someone purchasing a significantly more expensive vehicle.

        We left the dealership Saturday feeling like we had a great vehicle at a great price from a dealership we would love to return to for our future car-buying needs.  My thanks to the Fields Auto Group, Land Rover Orlando, and especially to Erik Ahlberg and Robert Kiel for a great car-buying experience.

"Thanks to your team at Land Rover Orlando, our dream vacation was uninterrupted...."

    I am writing to commend Mr. Travis and members of your service staff for the exemplary service my family received last week. We live in Cumming, Georgia, just north of Atlanta and left on Mother's Day for a much anticipated trip to Walt Disney World with our two boys, who are 6 and 3. Our trip included spending 3 nights at Disney World and then traveling to Port Canaveral to enjoy a 3 night cruise on the Disney Dream. Needless to say, this was a trip of a lifetime that we had been looking forward to for months.

    The first evening of our trip, we stayed overnight in Lake City and woke up early Monday, May 9th to head to Disney World. As we traveled down I-75 that morning, we noticed that our air conditioning wasn't very cool. Shortly after that, my husband said that the cruise control was not maintaining the proper speed and he could tell something wasn't quite right. He immediately pulled off the next exit, and as he did, smoke and steam began pouring out from the hood. Luckily, there was a gas station right off the exit and we were able to pull off safely and turn the engine off. In opening the hood, it was clear that there was a major problem.

    At that point, we phoned Landrover Roadside Assistance. You can only imagine the thoughts that crossed our mind at that point! How would we get to Disney? What would happen to our first day's reservations and plans? Would our car be able to be repaired in time to travel to Port Canaveral for our cruise? How much time would we have to take out of our vacation to deal with the car issues? In calling Landrover Roadside Assistance, they gave us the option to tow the car to Landrover Orlando, even though it was 140 miles away. I asked about a rental car and they told me to contact the dealership directly. I spoke with Mr. Travis in my initial call and explained our situation. He was very accommodating and it was clear that he genuinely was concerned about our situation.

    He immediately gave me advice and recommendations on rental cars and assured me that he would work with us and our timeline on getting the car repaired. To Landrover's credit, a tow truck was on-site to tow our car within an hour and the rental car was there soon after that. We were loaded up and on our way to Disney World within 90 minutes. The next concern was the repair of the car and an even bigger issue for us, was how we would pick up the car from the dealership. We returned the rental car as soon as we got to Disney World and had no means of transportation. The next day, I received a call from Mr. Travis. He informed me that the car had experienced an issue with the coolant tank and that it was being repaired and would be ready that afternoon. I explained to him that we did not have transportation and asked him what options we had.

    He told me not to worry about a thing. That afternoon, he arranged for two members of the Landrover Orlando team to deliver the car right to the Contemporary Resort, where we were staying! I cannot begin to express our gratitude for the extraordinary customer service we received throughout this ordeal. Thanks to your team at Landrover Orlando, our dream vacation was uninterrupted and our family did not have to deal with the stress and anxiety that could have easily taken over our trip. In this situation, your team members demonstrated great compassion, concern and understanding. It was so evident that your team genuinely cares about your customers.

    We will never be able to adequately express our appreciation. My husband and I both own the LR3 and can confidently say after this experience, we will always be Land Rover owners!
