PERFORMANCE
Range Rover Evoque

Whether you’re taking on the streets or the trails, the Range Rover Evoque and the Lexus RX 350 are ready to go to work. Both models yield over 240 horsepower and over 260 lb-ft of torque. Still, there are some clear differences.

Rugged Power, Smooth Rides

The Range Rover Evoque comes standard with All-Wheel Drive, so it’s ready to venture off-road, too. On the other hand, the RX 350 offers all-wheel drive but comes standard with front-wheel drive. So, if you want to head off the asphalt without an upgrade, opt for the Range Rover.

The Evoque also has a few other advantages in the realm of performance, as it comes standard with a 9-speed automatic transmission. The Lexus comes close but doesn’t quite measure up, as it’s equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Greater Giddyap and Go

The Range Rover has a 7-second acceleration time, going from 0 to 60 MPH faster than the Lexus. Meanwhile, the Lexus can go from 0 to 60 MPH in 7.6 seconds. So, if you’re looking for power and a smooth ride, the Range Rover is the safer bet.

DIMENSIONS
Range Rover Evoque

One of the reasons to drive an SUV is for the space it provides. If you’re making one of these SUVs your next automotive companion, you may be doing so because you need as much room as possible.

Cargo Room for All Your Gear

Both the Range Rover and the Lexus are quite spacious. However, the Range Rover provides much more room to fit all of your belongings comfortably.

With the rear seats folded down, the Evoque has 50.5 cubic feet of cargo room behind the first row. On the other hand, the Lexus can only give you up to 46.2 cubic feet of cargo room, so you may have to leave some items behind or ask your second-row riders to hold them on their laps.

Exterior Measurements

Despite its substantial cargo volume, the Evoque maintains a more compact stature on its exterior, enabling you to maneuver more easily, especially when dealing with city traffic and parking lots.

On the outside, the Range Rover is a shorter vehicle, standing 172.1 inches in length. So, it will be easier to move in and out of lanes and traffic than in the Lexus, which extends an additional 20 inches, at 192.5 inches in length.

TECHNOLOGY
Range Rover Evoque

We all use technology in some form, so it’s of the utmost importance to stay connected when you’re on the go. Fortunately, both vehicles come standardly equipped with:

  • Bluetooth®
  • Apple CarPlay® and Android Autoâ„¢ integration
  • Voice controls
Tech That’s Twice as Nice

The Range Rover offers more advanced technology, though, starting with its Amazon Alexa capability, which is unavailable in the Lexus model. Plus, the standard 11.4-inch Touchscreen in the Evoque may make your information easier to view than the RX 350’s 9.8-inch display.

Unlike the Lexus model, the Range Rover isn’t satisfied with settling for a single touchscreen. The Range Rover offers its Touch Pro Duo, dual 10-inch touchscreens that are fully customizable. For example, you could use one screen to display your maps or climate information and the other could be used to display your smartphone apps.

Charged Up and Ready to Go

We all forget things, including our phone-charging cable. When you drive the Evoque, there’s no need to worry! The Range Rover comes with standard wireless device charging capabilities. It even has a phone signal booster, so you won’t have to worry about calls dropping when you head into a tunnel!

The Lexus offers an optional wireless phone charger as part of a package, but you’ll have to add it—and it doesn’t have a signal booster.
